FUCK!

Some of you all know that I have a deep dark secret. The secret being that I am an 80's cartoon junkie. Some of the best and worst of the 80's cartoons make me feel all good on the inside. However, some of these great/bad shows are forever locked up in the vaults of the companies that made them. You know that vault you put things in to forget about the abysmal failure of a toy line and subsequent show cancellation. Spiral Zone was one of these sad victims. The show itself was a bit advanced for the time, but the toy line, OMG did it suck the big one. Ban dai which was the Japanese distributor for the toys, did an excellent job of making a good quality toy. As for the American distributor Tonka.... They should just stick to thier old school yellow dump trucks and call it a day. Thier toys were done on the cheap. Tonka, who lost a ton of money on producing a show and a toy line, decided to pull the plug after one season. Locked the toys away and called it a day. Now to the part where today comes in....


A few months ago I found out about the Spiral Zone website, and of all things the guy running it had produced a dvd collection of all of the episodes and was selling it. The problem, he was sold out at the time, so I kept checking back and checking back and finally they were back in stock for one more production. I had no cash at the time. Teh suck... So I checked last night and he was still in stock. I deposit my check and go to order it today..... SOLD OUT... I have an email in hoping hell do another run, but I doubt it. which means I lose out. I think I may go and cry. Fuck.
