While I desperatly need a job. I refuse to do several things....

1) Bilk a customer out of their money because I get paid more if I do...

2) Buy an expensive phone, Extra battery, and car charger for said gig, and pay the bill out of my pocket, rather than the employer.

3) Use my own car for service calls and not get reimbursed for gas or wear and tear on the vehicle.

$) Refuse to believe that said reimbursement is a tax write off for me at the end of the year.

5) Work 7 days a week at 12 hours of on call time or more, and get docked or questioned if I don't work or am not available for weekends.

6) Get penalized because I refuse to take calls after 8pm by having my pay cut in half for the pay period.

7) Shall I continue, or do you get the jist?

I knew I didn't want this job, before they contacted me for an interview... That call just solidified it.

A Desktop support tech for a field service. Basically I would be a roving tech for an area going in and doing Support to clients, out of their homes and offices.

There are a lot of fishing things there, but you can absolutely write off gas and other things for work; at least you used to be able to. But yeah, there's a whole lot of suck going on there.

It really depends on compensation. For the right price, I'd do just about anything.
